A couple of years ago, when we were renovating our old farmhouse, we found some old magazines, letters and postcards in the walls. Their copyrights have long expired so I'm using them to make some premium vintage brushes that I'll be putting up for sale soon, in the meantime you can go ahead and download this brush that I made from the back of one of the postcards. Awhile ago I went to a community art show and was a little bit offended to see that one of the featured pieces was a (childlike) painting of a sailboat. At the time I decided it wasn't really art; however, here I am, years later, still thinking about that one simple painting. As it turns out, the "art that wasn't" has had a subtle, yet significant impact on my creative psyche. So in honor of that unknown artist (oh how I wish I would have kept his business card!) Hawksmount (I don't know her real name) is a graphic designer from Poland who makes free (drool-worthy) Photoshop and Gimp bushes. Her work is excellent! I'm pretty sure it's ok to use anything you download from her in your commercial projects, but make sure to read her terms of use before you use them anyway-- if only because, like her brushes, her terms are very good!
